Captain, I don’t know how to explain this to you- but I don’t think the federation policies will work with this particular race of aliens. They’re very foul tempered and they just keep screaming at us and… 

Well, they’ve already killed a few Klingons, Vulcans and at least a dozen Tribbles. They don’t want to talk- they just want to kill people. And they don’t seem very interested in listening to us. So… Maybe we should consider some more drastic actions… 

I would never condone the extermination of an entire species… but this group- well they don’t want to talk. They don’t want to listen. They don’t want to- They’re just not very nice.
