Monologue Masterclass

NEXT CLASS COMMENCING JANUARY 17th

Starting in January 2025, Matti McLean as a part of the transforMATTIve collective will be running digital and in-person classes focusing on the art of the monologue. 
We will go over structure, story, history in this class designed to give you confidence in understanding how monologues work, and how to perform and understand a variety of monologues. 
This class also includes a half hour coaching session with Matti McLean where you will work together on deciphering a piece from the collection and then perform it as a part of an online class. 

In this class, we’ll dive deep into the art of monologue performance, covering everything from understanding character motivations to building a strong stage presence. Together, we’ll explore various techniques to enhance delivery, refine timing, and bring authentic emotion to each piece. For those interested in crafting original work, I’ll also guide you through the process of writing and shaping your own monologues—transforming personal stories, insights, or themes into compelling performances.
