Courtney Keir is a queer Toronto based actor, writer, director, and choreographer. She completed her MA in Classical and Contemporary Text (Acting Performance) at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland. Courtney is also a graduate of the Theatre and Drama Studies Program at Sheridan College and the University of Toronto Mississauga. She has additionally studied with the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts in London, England, the Stratford Shakespeare Festival, Theatre Gargantua, and Resurgence Theatre Company. Courtney will be playing Ruth in Motherhood appearing as part of the New Ideas Festival at Alumnae Theatre in March. Selected theatre credits include: The Most Humorous and Tragic Tale of William Shakespeare’s Shakespeare (Now I am Dead Productions), Bubble (Playwrights Studio Scotland), Real: Live!, In The Bones (Citizens Theatre), Henry IV (Bard in the Botanics), Troilus and Cressida (Shakespeare’s Globe/RCS).
