Sometimes a fun show with fun people is all you need.
This show, much like Taskmaster before it, takes a group of silly and likeable people, throws them into absurd theatre games and then allows the absurdity to happen naturally.
The show I saw had them flinging pylons from their head into a table like a unicorn, choosing whether or not to eat a mystery substance, guess the number of female hygiene packages that were in a jar and drawing shapes inside other shapes with their eyes closed.
This is a fun idea and the personalities of the performers really shine through. The Camp theme fits it very well and results in the show feeling like a group of counsellors competing in camp games.
There's not much to report here in way of story, but in a show that is this absurd and so much fun, that's totally fine. Sometimes just feeling like you're getting to spend time with some silly friends for a couple of enjoyable games is plenty fine enough.
A great way to spend a Calgary afternoon.
