The Best Man Show - Orlando Fringe Fest 2025 Review

The Best Man Show - Orlando Fringe Fest 2025 Review

We've all been at this wedding - the moment where the world seems to sit still as the "best" man, or some other disgraced family member, firmly, repeatedly sticks their foot in their mouth.

The Best Man Show straddles the line of cringe and hilarity. Mark Vigeant is a true improver with pitch perfect timing, total commitment, and a willingness to lean into the absurdity of the situation.

There is an ease to Mark's improv that makes this show a true delight. He is very quick on his feet, and his years of improv experience are on proud display here and the way he plays with the audience is delightful.

The character he plays is repugnant, but that's what makes him so engaging. This is not a character to be liked, but is one that we all know in our own lives. His embarrassing display is pitch perfect comedy that elevates a simple concept into something deliciously stupid and exciting.

Even when the choices don't quite work, they are memorable and his commitment to them is absolutely spectacular to see.

One of the best improv shows of the fest and easily one that I would highly recommend to anyone looking for a good comedic project with a deeply absurd premise.
