CSS Best Of Fest Nominee
I might feel like this ridiculous show was made for me. A perfect blend between spy and spoof and a Leslie Nielson-esque auteur guiding a ship- this pitch perfect over the top comedy could be the funniest Fringe show I've seen in ages.
First off, big props to Ryan for not only writing and creating the piece, but performing it with such a ridiculous dedication, that I have to applaud the audacity.
As someone who grew up with a healthy diet of Naked Gun and Airplane! This show absolutely tickled my funny bone. From start to finish, Ryan locks in 111% (that's one more than 110) and never lets up. The absurdity kicks in hard and fast and never stops until the absolutely bonkers end (that somehow still manages to tie things up in a satisfying way).
While ludicrous, loud and licentious- this show is one I would love to see again and again. As a true testament to it- I was sat in the back behind many rows of folks - but was still able to feel and hear the energy enough to know exactly what was happening even when my eyesight was blocked.
An absolute do-not miss of the festival.
