CSS Best of Fest Nominee

Penny Ashton is a pro.

This is a show that has been done hundreds of times and you can tell. From the way she capitalizes on every miniscule detail brought forth by her eccentric Austen characters is astounding. With a simple snort or laugh you know not only who the character is, but also what is to be expected of them.

All the Austen tropes are here in full force- with a heavy use of inuendo and amusing modern twists to keep it exciting and engaging for the audiences. Her character work is on point and she makes each scene feel unique and dynamic with use of minimal props and set- A perfect use of stage design that utilizes every piece throughout.

The plot itself is pitch perfect English lit, and as a performer Penny is nearly unrivaled on the Fringe circuit. An absolutely do-not miss experience for anyone wanting to see the best of what the Fringe has to offer.
