Ferry Tale - Orlando Fringe 2025 Review

Ferry Tale - Orlando Fringe 2025 Review

There are some people who are so effective at what they do it can leave you in awe. I have been fortunate enough to see several of Proulx shows before, and they always are inventive and overflowing with creativity. Ferry Tale is no exception.

A story of lovers in his hometown, (Woo! Northern Ontario pride!) this show is imaginatively displayed on a table with the puppeteering happening in a very hands on fashion in something that is truly unique and fascinating.

The story itself is charming, and his ability to convey such a beautiful tale with  variety of paper puppeteering is quite unique. His use of something so simple to create something so complex is inspiring and has me looking at papercraft and puppeteering in a more robust and dynamic way.

For something that is so simple, the way he can make you care about something that is objectively so inconsequential is a level of quality I like to call "F*** you good." Adam possesses this skill in spades and regularly creates shows that are not to be missed.

Matti McLean is in Orlando Fringe performing A CANADIAN EXPLAINS EUROVISION TO AMERICANS. A Eurovision song I'd recommend for those who enjoy this would be Randajad from Estonia in 2009 as the theme of water and taking a journey plays a major role in the song.
