It is a rare talent when someone can take something so foreign and make it accessible, exciting and delightful.
Dave has done this.
His show taking and memorizing a deck of cards is quite exciting. Not only does he memorize an entire deck of cards, but he also guides you through how he does it in such a way that inspires you to want to do it as well.
And I have taken that as a personal challenge.
As a storyteller he is also exceptional. Equal parts able proclaimer and magician I fully suspect there is a lot more slight of hand happening than you would expect- but despite that I am happy to say that it plays to every single one of his strengths. His ability to convey and evoke imagery is so rich and poignant that it is possible to leave the show without feeling moved in some way.
Equal parts impressive party trick, and delightful communicator, his show is simple and effective and an absolute must see on the festival circuit.
