I know what this means, but this is the only way. You need to go. You have more opportunities. You have a long life ahead of you. You have the person back home waiting for you and me- all I have is you. And I won't be able to live with myself if you’re the one who stays. It needs to be you. You need to be the one who leaves this place. 

It’s the only way. We won’t both fit. Besides, if we tried the weight of both of us in there would mean that we’d die in space because the trajectories would be invalid. It’s only designed for one of us, and that means that it needs to be you.
